SMTP Service

SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is a simple mail transfer protocol. It is a set of specifications for transferring mail from a source address to a destination address, controlling the way mail is relayed through it.

HENGSHI users need to enable and configure the SMTP service to receive system-sent emails.

The SMTP service requires users to configure the server address, server port, email account, password, etc. After the configuration is complete, verification is performed. Once verified, the configuration is saved.

After the SMTP configuration is complete, please configure the Base URL in the System Settings. Since most system-pushed emails contain link addresses, if the Base URL is not configured, the links in the emails cannot be clicked to view. Therefore, the system enforces that the Base URL must be configured to send emails.

If you find that you have not received emails, please check the following reasons:

  • Whether the email has been set as spam.
  • Whether the email sending threshold has been exceeded.
  • Whether the network configuration is smooth.
  • Check whether the Base URL is configured.
